Supporting Local Charity Through Technology

We were recently introduced to the charity STEPS Club for Young People, based in Weymouth, who reached out to us through the Match my Project Sovereign Network Group Supplier Portal. STEPS provides a wide range of activities, opportunities, projects, awards and support for young people aged 13–19, many of whom are disadvantaged, excluded or vulnerable.

Operating four evenings a week, the centre’s work is educational, developmental and preventative. While much of their support is delivered in groups, the team also provides significant one-to-one guidance, helping young people navigate a wide variety of personal challenges. Their efforts play a vital role in giving young people the tools, confidence and resilience they need to move forward in life.

Earlier this week, Partner Dean Wichall visited the centre to deliver and install three PC desktop setups. These will support the charity’s youth initiatives by opening new opportunities in digital learning, job searching and computer literacy, equipping young people with essential skills for education and future employment.

STEPS had this to say:

“We are incredibly grateful to Philip Pank Partnership LLP for their kind donation of three computers. They will be very useful and well-used by young people for many years to come! Huge thanks to Dean Wichall for all his work to make this happen.”

Seeing first-hand the marvellous work that the team carries out was both inspiring and humbling. While our donation is just a small part of their wider mission, we are proud to support such meaningful work and are excited to see the positive impact these new resources will bring to the young people they serve.
